Thanks again for being part of the 2020 Guelph Fringe Festival, which is currently on your summer calendar for August 6-9.  We are sad to say, that may have to change.

As you know, things are shifting for 2020 events of all kinds. With the expectation that social distancing may continue through the summer, we are considering the options to postpone our festival to a future date.

We ask for your patience as we determine the best plan moving forward, and we sincerely hope you’ll continue to be part of that plan. We expect to make a final decision before the end of April.  We understand that you need as much notice as possible, so we promise to update you as soon as we know more.

The safety of our artists, audiences, and volunteers is our primary concern. We hope you are staying safe, hopeful and creative.  Whether you’re writing a new piece, performing online, or looking after the people around you… thanks for sharing your talents.

Stay well, and please stay tuned!

The Guelph Fringe Festival Production Team

festival

The Guelph Fringe Festival will run from August 6 to 9, 2020. A total of 20 individual companies will perform at four venues over the course of the four-day festival, for a total of 60 performances in Downtown Guelph.

As a proud member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals, we ensure that 100% of box office revenue goes into the pockets of its participants. We are committed to giving artists the opportunity to produce work in an inclusive, engaging and highly accessible environment.

The only constraints on material or content are the consideration of legality and the health and safety of all those involved, including artists, staff, volunteers and audiences. The Guelph Fringe Festival reserves the right to enforce necessary safety measures.

Volunteer with Guelph Fringe Festival!

Guelph Fringe couldn't happen without the generous time and effort that our volunteers offer. We are on the lookout for a fun-loving, dedicated group of folks for 2020, for roles such as box office/front of house, ushering, and general running around. Please feel free to volunteer for an evening, a day, or the whole weekend! We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities - if you're under 18, we'll need you to get parental or guardian consent.

To be added to the volunteer roster for Guelph Fringe Festival, please let Matt know, at volunteers.gff@gmail.com. See you in August!
